For graduating high school seniors who plan on seeking a degree in computer science, information technology, computer networking, cyber security, or a related field of study. Snort is an affiliate of Cisco, a global provider of security software products. There are two $10,000 scholarships available.

High school seniors attending school in United States and planning to attend 4-year college or universities in the US to complete a degree in Computer Science (or similar related fields). Awards will be given at $10,000 per year ($5,000 per semester) with the opportunity to renew up to 3 times assuming recipients continue to meet eligibility requirements and maintain good academic standing. More than a scholarship, the cohort of selected students receive mentoring and coaching from LinkedIn engineers.

Must be pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree with a focus on cybersecurity, information assurance or similar field and be pursuing a two year associate’s degree or four year bachelor’s degree. US Citizenship not required.

$10,000 scholarship for one graduating high school senior who intends to study STEM with an emphasis on artificial intelligence, machine learning, cyber security, or geospatial-related fields, selected annually. First-generation college students and students attending community college are particularly encouraged to apply.

Open to graduating high school seniors enrolling in a higher education program majoring in cybersecurity or artificial intelligence. Incoming and current college freshmen are required to submit their high school transcripts. Applicants will be judged on their academic achievements, experience in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and other related fields, and essay content. Recipients may be asked to submit a report with grades in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence-related classes along with a summary of what they learned. They may also be asked to take part in an interview with a Crowdstrike representative on their experience with the program.

Oregon’s Higher Education Coordinating Commission’s (HECC) Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC) administers more than 600 scholarships through a single application. A student’s OSAC application automatically matches them to multiple awards based on their high school, and intended major. High school seniors and college students interested in cybersecurity should review the catalog of opportunites related to Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) and Computer Science.
